Mako Steel’s self-storage business continues to grow at a rapid pace and
is set to open a new sales office in Washington, DC.

Mako Steel, based in Carlsbad, California, with additional locations in Jacksonville, Florida, and Vancouver, Washington, is pleased to announce that Mark Colwell will head up Mako’s new northeast area office in Washington, DC. Mark’s new endeavor will bring Mako Steel a greater presence in the Self Storage Industry with a title of Northeast Sales & Project Manager.

Mark Colwell has been with Mako Steel for over 5 years and spent the greater part of his life in the northeast. His entrepreneurial mentality and attention to detail is perfect for the start of a new location, especially in a territory that he is so familiar with.

According to Caesar Wright, the President of Mako Steel “we are excited to have a physical presence in the northeast that will reinforce Mako Steel’s strong ties with repeat customers as well as earning new business. Although we have had phenomenal growth, our staff still takes the time to offer a personal touch to the owners and builders that we work with and I know that Mark will continue in that tradition.”

Mako Steel, founded in 1993, designs, supplies and installs self-storage buildings nationwide, including boat/RV storage, multi-story and custom buildings. Mako has been a vital part of the success of the self-storage industry and is a certified dealer for Nucor Building Systems. As an employee-owned company, each employee has a vested interest in their customers’ success and that of the industry as a whole.
